How do I connect Wix to TalkGenAI?

Create a Wix API key as the account owner with the Blog and Media Manager permissions, limited to the one site you want, then paste the key and the Site ID into TalkGenAI. Articles are saved to your Wix blog as drafts by default.
The Webflow, Shopify and Wix connectors are turned on per account for now, and Wix has seen less real-world use than WordPress and Webflow. If you do not see Wix under Integrations, email [email protected] and ask for it to be enabled.

What do I need first?

  • A Wix site with the Wix Blog app installed.
  • To be signed in as the account owner. A key created by a co-owner always fails with a 403 error.

How do I do it?

1

Create the API key

Go to manage.wix.com/account/api-keys and click Generate API Key. Tick the Blog and Media Manager permissions. Also add Ricos for the best formatting.
2

Limit it to one site

Under Site access choose Specific sites and pick only the site you are connecting. A Wix API key is created at the account level and, left unrestricted, can reach every site on your account.
3

Copy the key

Copy it right away. Wix shows the key only once.
4

Find your Site ID

Your Site ID is the part of your Wix dashboard URL after /dashboard/. You can also paste the whole dashboard URL and TalkGenAI extracts the ID.
5

Paste both in TalkGenAI

In the dashboard open Integrations, find the Wix card, click + Add Site, and enter the Wix API Key and Site ID. The site URL is optional and is used to link to published posts. Click Connect Site.

How do I check that it worked?

The site appears under Integrations. For an agent, list_sites returns it with "platform": "wix" and a connection_id that starts with wxc_. There is nothing else to choose: a Wix blog post has fixed fields.

Does it publish live or as a draft?

As a draft by default. Agents save a draft unless they pass status: "publish". See Publish safely.

How are articles and images handled?

Wix does not accept HTML, so TalkGenAI converts the article into Wix’s rich content format. Wix only accepts images stored in Wix Media, so the hero image is imported there first. If that import fails, the post is still saved without a hero image.
