How do I connect Webflow to TalkGenAI?

Create a Site API token from your Webflow site’s own settings with CMS, Sites and Assets all set to Read and write, then paste it in the TalkGenAI dashboard. After connecting, choose the CMS collection articles go into. Articles are saved as staged drafts by default.
The Webflow, Shopify and Wix connectors are turned on per account for now. If you do not see Webflow under Integrations, email [email protected] and ask for it to be enabled.

What do I need first?

  • A Webflow site with a CMS collection for blog posts. A blank site has no collection, and TalkGenAI will report “No CMS collections found”.
  • A paid Webflow plan if you want articles to go live automatically. Without one, TalkGenAI saves the article as a staged draft instead.

How do I create the token?

1

Open the site's settings, not the workspace's

In Webflow open the site you want to publish to, then go to Site settings, Apps and integrations, API access. Use the gear icon on the site. A workspace-level token has no CMS scope and will not work.
2

Generate the token

Click Generate API token and set:Webflow cannot add permissions to an existing token. If you missed one, generate a new token.
3

Paste it in TalkGenAI

In the dashboard open Integrations, find Publish Directly to Webflow, click + Add Site, paste the Webflow API Token, and click Connect Site. The site name is optional.
4

Choose the collection

Open the site’s Auto-Publish Defaults and choose the CMS collection for your articles. TalkGenAI suggests a field mapping for the title, slug, body, summary and main image. Check it and save.

How do I check that it worked?

The site appears under Integrations. For an agent, list_sites returns it with "platform": "webflow" and a connection_id that starts with wfc_.

Does it publish live or as a draft?

As a draft by default, saved as a staged item in your CMS collection. A staged item returns a 404 on the public site until you publish it, which is expected. If the connection is set to publish live and your Webflow plan does not allow it, TalkGenAI saves a staged draft instead and tells you why.

What can go wrong?

Tables in an article are accepted by Webflow’s rich text field and are kept. Last updated: 2026-10-05
