Can I use TalkGenAI from ChatGPT?

Not as a built-in connector yet. ChatGPT connectors sign in with OAuth, and TalkGenAI currently authenticates with an agent key. OAuth support is planned. Until then, connect an agent that accepts a key, or use the REST API from any tool that can send HTTP requests.

Why does it not work today?

TalkGenAI’s MCP server accepts an Authorization: Bearer tgai_... header. Connectors added inside ChatGPT or Claude.ai use an OAuth sign-in flow instead of a pasted key, and that flow is not built yet.

Can ChatGPT read the TalkGenAI instructions?

Yes. The instructions are public at https://app.talkgen.ai/skill.md and the documentation index at https://docs.talkgen.ai/llms.txt. An assistant can read them to explain how TalkGenAI works, but it cannot act on your account without a key.

Will this change?

OAuth is the next planned addition to the connector. When it ships, this page will say so. Last updated: 2026-10-05
