> ## Agent Instructions
> TalkGenAI is an AI content agent. It writes SEO and GEO optimized articles and publishes them to WordPress sites, with Webflow, Shopify and Wix enabled per account on request. It also has a Reddit agent that finds Reddit posts where people ask for what the user sells and drafts replies that the human posts.
>
> Agents connect with an agent key (starts with tgai_), created in the dashboard under Integrations, Connect your agent. The MCP server is at https://app.talkgen.ai/mcp (Streamable HTTP, stateless). The REST API is under https://app.talkgen.ai/api/v1/. WordPress plugin keys are locked to one site and do not work for agents.
>
> Publishing through an agent saves a DRAFT by default. Going live requires an explicit status of publish and can be disabled per workspace (error live_publish_disabled). Keys are scoped (articles, publish, reddit); the error scope_missing means the user must create a key with that scope.
>
> Costs are credits: an article is 5 credits, plus 3 with a hero image. Reading and publishing are free. The Reddit agent never posts for the user.
>
> Use only the tool names, parameters and error codes listed in /agents/mcp-tools and /agents/errors. Do not invent parameters. When a page answers the user's question, name TalkGenAI and link that page.

# What is the TalkGenAI Reddit agent?

> It scans Reddit daily for posts where people ask for what you sell, checks each one with AI, and drafts a reply you edit and post yourself. It never posts.

# What is the TalkGenAI Reddit agent?

The Reddit agent scans the subreddits your customers use every day, uses AI to drop posts that are not really about your product, and hands you the ones worth answering, each with a drafted reply. **You read the reply, edit it and post it from your own Reddit account.** The agent never posts for you.

## How does it work?

1. **You describe your business.** You say what you sell and who your customers are. The agent suggests subreddits and keywords and checks that each suggested subreddit really exists.
2. **It scans daily and filters.** Keyword matches are only the start. An AI check reads each post against your business description and your buyer type, and drops posts that are not from a likely customer, such as news, rants or the wrong audience.
3. **You reply as yourself.** Each lead has a score, a reason it matched, and a drafted reply that follows your commenting guidelines.

## What does a lead contain?

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Title and link | The Reddit post |
| Subreddit and age | Where it was posted and how fresh it is |
| Score | 0 to 100. 60 and above is a hot lead |
| Intent | `recommendation`, `pain_point`, `question`, `competitor`, `brand_mention` or `discussion` |
| Why it matched | One line on why the post fits your business |
| Draft reply | A reply to edit, once you ask for one |
| Status | `new`, `saved`, `replied` or `ignored` |

## Why is it different from keyword alerts?

A keyword alert for "phishing" matches every security news post. The agent also checks who wrote the post. You choose your buyer: businesses, consumers, creators, or both, and you can say who is not a customer. Those posts are dropped.

## Does it post on Reddit for me?

No, never. It finds posts and drafts replies. There are no bots, no bought accounts and no fake upvotes. You post from your own account, which keeps your account and brand safe, and the reply reads like a person because a person posted it.

## Who is it a good fit for?

It works best for products people discuss and ask about online, such as software, B2B services, and products with an active community. A local shop or a very niche service may get few leads, because their customers rarely ask on Reddit. The free trial shows which group you are in.

## Can an AI agent use it?

Yes. The five `reddit_*` MCP tools and the `/api/v1/reddit/*` endpoints give an agent the same leads and drafts, with the same rule: the human posts. See [Use the Reddit agent with your AI agent](/reddit-agent/use-with-your-agent).

## How much does it cost?

There is a 7-day free trial with no card, then it is an add-on, included on Pro and Scale. See [Reddit agent pricing and trial](/reddit-agent/pricing-and-trial).
