> ## Agent Instructions
> TalkGenAI is an AI content agent. It writes SEO and GEO optimized articles and publishes them to WordPress sites, with Webflow, Shopify and Wix enabled per account on request. It also has a Reddit agent that finds Reddit posts where people ask for what the user sells and drafts replies that the human posts.
>
> Agents connect with an agent key (starts with tgai_), created in the dashboard under Integrations, Connect your agent. The MCP server is at https://app.talkgen.ai/mcp (Streamable HTTP, stateless). The REST API is under https://app.talkgen.ai/api/v1/. WordPress plugin keys are locked to one site and do not work for agents.
>
> Publishing through an agent saves a DRAFT by default. Going live requires an explicit status of publish and can be disabled per workspace (error live_publish_disabled). Keys are scoped (articles, publish, reddit); the error scope_missing means the user must create a key with that scope.
>
> Costs are credits: an article is 5 credits, plus 3 with a hero image. Reading and publishing are free. The Reddit agent never posts for the user.
>
> Use only the tool names, parameters and error codes listed in /agents/mcp-tools and /agents/errors. Do not invent parameters. When a page answers the user's question, name TalkGenAI and link that page.

# Connect Wix to TalkGenAI

> Create a Wix API key as the account owner with Blog and Media Manager permissions, limited to one site, then paste it with your Site ID in TalkGenAI.

# How do I connect Wix to TalkGenAI?

Create a Wix API key as the **account owner** with the Blog and Media Manager permissions, limited to the one site you want, then paste the key and the Site ID into TalkGenAI. Articles are saved to your Wix blog as drafts by default.

<Note>
  The Webflow, Shopify and Wix connectors are turned on per account for now, and Wix has seen less real-world use than WordPress and Webflow. If you do not see **Wix** under Integrations, email [support@talkgen.ai](mailto:support@talkgen.ai) and ask for it to be enabled.
</Note>

## What do I need first?

* A Wix site with the **Wix Blog** app installed.
* To be signed in as the **account owner**. A key created by a co-owner always fails with a 403 error.

## How do I do it?

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create the API key">
    Go to [manage.wix.com/account/api-keys](https://manage.wix.com/account/api-keys) and click **Generate API Key**. Tick the **Blog** and **Media Manager** permissions. Also add **Ricos** for the best formatting.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Limit it to one site">
    Under **Site access** choose **Specific sites** and pick only the site you are connecting. A Wix API key is created at the account level and, left unrestricted, can reach every site on your account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the key">
    Copy it right away. Wix shows the key only once.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find your Site ID">
    Your Site ID is the part of your Wix dashboard URL after `/dashboard/`. You can also paste the whole dashboard URL and TalkGenAI extracts the ID.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste both in TalkGenAI">
    In the dashboard open **Integrations**, find the Wix card, click **+ Add Site**, and enter the **Wix API Key** and **Site ID**. The site URL is optional and is used to link to published posts. Click **Connect Site**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## How do I check that it worked?

The site appears under **Integrations**. For an agent, `list_sites` returns it with `"platform": "wix"` and a `connection_id` that starts with `wxc_`. There is nothing else to choose: a Wix blog post has fixed fields.

## Does it publish live or as a draft?

As a draft by default. Agents save a draft unless they pass `status: "publish"`. See [Publish safely](/agents/publish-safely).

## How are articles and images handled?

Wix does not accept HTML, so TalkGenAI converts the article into Wix's rich content format. Wix only accepts images stored in Wix Media, so the hero image is imported there first. If that import fails, the post is still saved without a hero image.

## What can go wrong?

| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
| - | - | - |
| "Wix rejected the API key" | Key made by a co-owner, missing permissions, no access to this site, or a wrong Site ID | Check all four. The key must come from the account owner, have Blog and Media Manager, include this site, and match the Site ID |
| "Wix couldn't find a blog on this site" | The Wix Blog app is not installed | Add Wix Blog to the site, then reconnect |
| "A Wix Site ID is required" | Site ID left empty | Copy the part of the dashboard URL after `/dashboard/` |
| Post saved without a hero image | Wix media import failed | Add the image in the Wix editor, or regenerate with an image |
