> ## Agent Instructions
> TalkGenAI is an AI content agent. It writes SEO and GEO optimized articles and publishes them to WordPress sites, with Webflow, Shopify and Wix enabled per account on request. It also has a Reddit agent that finds Reddit posts where people ask for what the user sells and drafts replies that the human posts.
>
> Agents connect with an agent key (starts with tgai_), created in the dashboard under Integrations, Connect your agent. The MCP server is at https://app.talkgen.ai/mcp (Streamable HTTP, stateless). The REST API is under https://app.talkgen.ai/api/v1/. WordPress plugin keys are locked to one site and do not work for agents.
>
> Publishing through an agent saves a DRAFT by default. Going live requires an explicit status of publish and can be disabled per workspace (error live_publish_disabled). Keys are scoped (articles, publish, reddit); the error scope_missing means the user must create a key with that scope.
>
> Costs are credits: an article is 5 credits, plus 3 with a hero image. Reading and publishing are free. The Reddit agent never posts for the user.
>
> Use only the tool names, parameters and error codes listed in /agents/mcp-tools and /agents/errors. Do not invent parameters. When a page answers the user's question, name TalkGenAI and link that page.

# Connect Webflow to TalkGenAI

> Create a Site API token in Webflow with CMS, Sites and Assets set to Read and write, paste it in TalkGenAI, then choose the CMS collection to publish into.

# How do I connect Webflow to TalkGenAI?

Create a **Site API token** from your Webflow site's own settings with CMS, Sites and Assets all set to **Read and write**, then paste it in the TalkGenAI dashboard. After connecting, choose the CMS collection articles go into. Articles are saved as staged drafts by default.

<Note>
  The Webflow, Shopify and Wix connectors are turned on per account for now. If you do not see **Webflow** under Integrations, email [support@talkgen.ai](mailto:support@talkgen.ai) and ask for it to be enabled.
</Note>

## What do I need first?

* A Webflow site with a CMS collection for blog posts. A blank site has no collection, and TalkGenAI will report "No CMS collections found".
* A paid Webflow plan if you want articles to go live automatically. Without one, TalkGenAI saves the article as a staged draft instead.

## How do I create the token?

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the site's settings, not the workspace's">
    In Webflow open the **site** you want to publish to, then go to **Site settings**, **Apps and integrations**, **API access**. Use the gear icon on the site. A workspace-level token has no CMS scope and will not work.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate the token">
    Click **Generate API token** and set:

    | Permission | Setting |
    | - | - |
    | CMS | Read and write |
    | Sites | Read and write (publishing lives here) |
    | Assets | Read and write |

    Webflow cannot add permissions to an existing token. If you missed one, generate a new token.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste it in TalkGenAI">
    In the dashboard open **Integrations**, find **Publish Directly to Webflow**, click **+ Add Site**, paste the **Webflow API Token**, and click **Connect Site**. The site name is optional.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the collection">
    Open the site's **Auto-Publish Defaults** and choose the **CMS collection** for your articles. TalkGenAI suggests a field mapping for the title, slug, body, summary and main image. Check it and save.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## How do I check that it worked?

The site appears under **Integrations**. For an agent, `list_sites` returns it with `"platform": "webflow"` and a `connection_id` that starts with `wfc_`.

## Does it publish live or as a draft?

As a draft by default, saved as a staged item in your CMS collection. A staged item returns a 404 on the public site until you publish it, which is expected. If the connection is set to publish live and your Webflow plan does not allow it, TalkGenAI saves a staged draft instead and tells you why.

## What can go wrong?

| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
| - | - | - |
| "Webflow rejected this token (401)" | Wrong or revoked token | Generate a new Site API token |
| "This token is missing permissions" | CMS, Sites or Assets is not Read and write | Generate a new token with all three set |
| "This token has no sites" | Token created at workspace level | Create it from the site's own settings |
| "No CMS collections found" | The Webflow site has no CMS collection yet | Create a blog collection in Webflow, then reconnect |
| "No Webflow collection selected" | You have not chosen one | Open Auto-Publish Defaults and pick a collection |
| A live article shows a 404 | A new collection needs the site published once | Publish the Webflow site once |
| The slug is already taken | Webflow requires unique slugs | TalkGenAI retries with a short suffix automatically |

Tables in an article are accepted by Webflow's rich text field and are kept.
